Solar Street Lights
Reasons for daytime illumination:
1. The solar panel does not charge the battery through the controller during the day.
Controller detection: A red light on the controller indicates that charging is in progress, while a flashing red light indicates that the battery is fully charged and the controller is charging with a small pulse current.
Solar panel: If the connections of the solar panel are not firm, it may lead to abnormal charging. This is usually indicated by voltage presence (tested with a voltmeter), with a normal open-circuit voltage above 17.5V; however, there will be no current. This phenomenon occurs when the connections of the battery panel are not properly connected, which may include cold solder joints or loose connections. To troubleshoot, open the black electrical cover on the back of the battery panel and use a voltmeter and ammeter to check the data. If there is no current detected directly from the aluminum foil of the battery panel, this indicates a problem with the panel that needs to be replaced.
2. If the positive and negative terminals are reversed during the connection, it can cause components in the controller to burn out.
