Currently, the majority of streetlight poles in China are made of iron. Aluminum alloy poles are mostly exported to foreign markets, especially developed countries, due to their high cost. Below are some common materials used for
LED high pole lights
:
1. Concrete. This is no longer commonly used for city power poles or individually erected concrete poles.
2. Iron. Made from rolled steel and treated with hot-dip galvanization and spraying, these poles can resist corrosion for up to 30 years and are very durable.
3. Fiberglass. This is a high-performance inorganic non-metallic material with various types. Its advantages include good insulation, strong heat resistance, excellent corrosion resistance, and high mechanical strength. However, it is brittle and has poor wear resistance.
4. Aluminum alloy. Made from high-strength aluminum alloy, it not only provides safety for personnel but also has high strength. It can resist corrosion for over 50 years without any surface treatment and is aesthetically pleasing. Aluminum alloy has better physical and mechanical properties than pure aluminum: it is easy to process, highly durable, versatile, has good decorative effects, and comes in a variety of colors.
5. Stainless steel. It has good resistance to chemical and electrochemical corrosion, second only to titanium alloy. The common method used in China is hot-dip galvanization, which can ensure a product lifespan of up to 15 years if it meets international standards. Otherwise, the lifespan falls significantly short. Stainless steel is predominantly used in courtyards, residential communities, parks, etc. It is heat-resistant, high-temperature resistant, low-temperature resistant, and even ultra-low temperature resistant.
