High mast lights generally refer to lights that are 15 meters or taller. Typically, these lights range from 15 to 40 meters in height, but clients can specify the length based on special requirements, which can be coordinated with the manufacturer. Additionally, high mast lights usually have strict sealing requirements for the lamp heads, with a common sealing grade being the international standard IP65. Besides specific models, the conventional types of high mast lights include the following:
1. 15 meters
This length is commonly used for standard high mast street lights, as well as in some residential areas.
2. 18 meters
While it may not seem much taller than 15 meters, adding an extra three meters is significant. This height is suitable for high-rise residential areas or port terminals. It is worth noting that streetlights used in different contexts might have distinct names based on their location, such as dock high mast lights or square high mast lights, but their specifications remain the same.
3. 20 meters
Professionals indicate that this type is commonly used in large squares or areas with taller buildings.
4. 25 meters
This specification is often used in ports, docks, or large squares.
5. 30 meters
This height is also produced regularly, but the applicable areas vary due to its elevation.
These five types encompass the conventional options for high mast lights. Of course, custom high mast lights can be tailored according to specific needs, but they cannot be returned or exchanged unless there are quality issues.
