1. According to the characteristics of the output alternating current voltage, it can be divided into four types: constant frequency constant voltage sine wave inverters, constant frequency constant voltage square wave inverters, variable frequency variable voltage inverters, and high-frequency pulse voltage inverters.
2. Based on the different structures of the inverter circuit, it can be divided into four types: single-phase half-bridge inverters, single-phase full-bridge inverters, push-pull inverters, and three-phase bridge inverters.
3. According to the type of direct current power source, it can be divided into two types: voltage-type inverters and current-type inverters.
4. Depending on the different switching devices and their switching methods, it can be classified into two types: self-commutated hybrid inverters using fully controlled switches and forced commutated thyristor inverters using thyristors.
Nowadays, many solar photovoltaic inverters on the market use self-commutated hybrid inverters with fully controlled switches. Manufacturers recommend using GTOs for high power, IGBTs for medium power, and PMOSFETs for low power. However, due to the variety of buildings, the solar photovoltaic array devices also vary. Therefore, in order to ensure high conversion efficiency of solar energy while considering the aesthetic appearance of buildings, the inverter must also be diversified to achieve various ways of solar energy conversion.
