Some installation points may not guarantee sunlight exposure for solar street lights, so it is necessary to adopt a centralized power distribution method for installing solar street lights to ensure that the solar lighting project can proceed smoothly. Since the use of solar radiation for centralized power generation has specific requirements for the installation locations of both street lights and solar panels, it is extremely important to conduct site inspections before installation.
The main points of inspection are as follows:
First: Observe whether there are trees, buildings, or other obstructions on both sides of the road section where the solar street light is to be installed and the section where the solar panel will be placed. Any trees or buildings that block lighting and sunlight should be noted.
Second: Measure the installation height of the solar street light and its distance from the installation site to determine whether they affect the solar panel’s sunlight collection and the street light’s illumination.
Third: Check whether there are cables, wires, or other facilities above the installation area of the solar panels and street lights that could affect their installation (Note: It is prohibited to install systems under high-voltage lines).
Understand whether there are cables, fiber optic cables, pipelines, or other facilities underground that could affect construction at the installation sites of the solar street lights, and whether there are any construction prohibition signs. Try to avoid these facilities during installation; if avoidance is not possible, contact the relevant departments and proceed only after obtaining consent. Avoid installing in low-lying areas or places prone to water accumulation. Take on-site photos of the installation area and measure parameters such as the width and length of the road, height, and distance of obstructions, and provide this data along with photos to the design planner for reference.
