Controller
The controller can be considered as the heart of the system. It connects solar panels that absorb sunlight, batteries that store energy, and LED light sources for illumination. When it detects that the voltage of the solar panel falls below a certain level, it sends a signal to the LED light source to turn on. When the set time (for example, 10 hours) is reached, it automatically turns off the light source. This is the intelligent light control technology based on light and time. When purchasing solar controllers, we should pay attention to the following issues:
First, choose a solar controller with low power consumption. Since solar controllers operate continuously 24 hours a day, a high power consumption will waste some energy. Opt for controllers that consume less than 1 milliamp.
Second, select a controller that offers dual power adjustment. Controllers with power adjustment have been widely promoted, allowing them to automatically turn off one or both lighting circuits during periods of low pedestrian traffic at night, saving electricity, and they can also adjust the power for LED lights.
Choose a controller with high charging efficiency. Controllers equipped with MCT charging mode can automatically track the current of the solar panel. Especially during winter or periods of insufficient sunlight, the MCT charging mode is about 20% more efficient than other modes.
