With the continuous development of solar technology, solar street light products are becoming more widespread, and many places have installed solar street lights. However, many consumers have limited exposure to solar street lights and know even less about their installation. Below, we will look at the key considerations for installing the foundation for solar street lights, for your reference.
1. Excavation of the foundation pit must be carried out strictly according to the dimensions specified in the solar street light foundation diagram (determine the construction dimensions by the construction personnel) along the direction of the road.
2. The upper surface of the embedded cage in the foundation must be ensured to be level (measured and checked with a level), and the anchor bolts in the cage must be vertical to the upper surface of the foundation (measured and checked with a square).
3. After the excavation of the foundation pit, leave it for 1 to 2 days to observe whether groundwater seeps out. If groundwater seeps out, immediately stop construction.
4. Prepare the necessary tools for making the solar street light foundation before construction and select construction personnel with practical experience.
5. Choose suitable cement strictly according to the solar street light foundation diagram; in areas with high soil acidity or alkalinity, select special acid- and alkali-resistant cement. The fine sand and gravel must be free of impurities like soil that could affect the concrete strength.
6. The soil around the foundation must be compacted.
7. The bottom of the battery storage tank in the foundation must have drainage holes or be built according to the drawing requirements.
8. Before construction, both ends of the conduit must be sealed to prevent foreign objects from entering or blocking during or after construction, which could cause difficulties or prevent wiring during installation.
9. After the solar street light foundation is completed, it must be cured for 5 to 7 days (depending on weather conditions).
10. The installation of the solar street lights can only proceed after the foundation has passed inspection and been deemed qualified.
The considerations mentioned above for installing the foundation of solar street lights are shared here. Due to the different heights of various solar street lights and the force of the wind they experience, the required foundation strength varies. During construction, it is essential to ensure that the foundation strength and structure meet the design requirements.
