LED street lights are commonly seen on roads today, but many customers are often unsure when it comes to purchasing them. They usually contact us for information regarding LED street lights, often inquiring about how to choose the right ones. 1. Color Temperature: The color temperature of LED fixtures primarily ranges from 2700K to 7000K. Generally, lower color temperature tends to be more difficult to achieve. For instance, a color temperature around 3000K can be used in various situations.
2. Glare Value: Glare refers to visual discomfort caused by inappropriate brightness distribution or contrasts in brightness over space or time, which reduces the visibility of objects. The common approach to reduce glare is through diffuse reflection and off-center light distribution.
3. Light Efficiency: The ratio of the total luminous flux emitted by a light source to the power consumed (in watts) is defined as the light efficiency of that source. Theoretically, higher efficiency is better. Currently, there are lights available on the market with an overall light efficiency of 110lm/w, which is considered a good standard.
4. Electrical Performance: When an LED street light operates at its nominal voltage and frequency, the difference between the actual power consumed and the rated power should not exceed 10%, and the power factor should not be less than 0.95.
5. Protection Level: The protection level of LED street lights for Grade A products should not be lower than IP67. Grade B products should not be lower than IP66, and Grade C products should not be lower than IP65. Currently, an IP67 rating is a high standard for street lights.
