1. The ducts are filled with materials such as cement or fireproof clay and must be compacted with a wooden mallet. During this process, the cable may be damaged, posing a risk of electric leakage. Furthermore, if the cement or fireproof clay is not securely fixed within the duct, some areas may not completely contact the duct wall, preventing comprehensive waterproof sealing and possibly leading to water seepage.
2. Water-activated swelling-type sealing materials, such as sealing strips, can be used around the cable sheath. This method has been verified but is generally effective.
