When it comes to solar street lights, many people are familiar with them. Compared to traditional street lights, solar street lights effectively save electricity and reduce daily expenses, which is very beneficial for people. However, before installing solar street lights, debugging is necessary. So how should the debugging preparation for solar street lights be done? Here are some insights shared by the Century Sunshine Lighting editor:
1. Time Control Function Setting and Debugging
Set the lighting time according to the requirements in the design plan. Follow the instructions in the controller manual to set the time control node. The lighting time each night should not exceed the value used in the design process, and it can only be equal to or less than the design value; otherwise, it will affect the lighting and reduce the lifespan.
2. Light Control Function Simulation
If the wiring is done during the day, you can cover the solar panel’s light-facing side with an opaque object (or disconnect the solar panel wiring from the controller). Refer to the delay time mentioned in the controller manual, and see if the solar street light can automatically turn on after the specified time.
If it lights up, it indicates that the light control function is normal. If it does not light up, it means the light control switch function has failed, and at this point, you need to check the controller settings again. If everything is normal, remove the obstruction from the solar panel (or reconnect the solar panel power line to the controller), and the light source should automatically turn off, indicating that the light control shutdown function is normal.
This concludes our sharing about the debugging preparations for solar street lights. After completing the debugging of the solar street light controller equipment, it is essential to do a simple test on the lithium battery and other devices before the solar street light is installed. This is to ensure that the light source can be lit up. It is crucial to avoid finding out that the solar street light does not work only after the overall installation is complete, as repairs at that point waste time and increase costs.
