The Mid-Autumn Festival is a holiday for family reunions. During the day, families prepare a lot of delicious food, and everyone gathers together for meals and conversations. In the evening, families set up a table outside filled with mooncakes, sitting under the trees, enjoying the moon while eating mooncakes. My family also went out for dinner, and on the way, I saw a row of municipal LED solar street lights. It reminded me of my work, but the lighting effect of these LED solar street lights at night was not very good; overall, it seemed a bit dark and couldn’t provide proper illumination. So what factors might cause this situation?
What causes LED solar street lights to appear dim?
1. The power of the LED solar street lights sourced by contractors is too low. These fixtures are likely low-cost lights that many people often buy. This is why some street light manufacturers can sell their products at such low prices; they have downgraded the configuration.
2. The batteries of the solar street lights have insufficient energy storage. When the battery energy is weak and cannot support the power of the light source fully, the street lights will also appear dim.
3. The debugging of the solar controller is not done properly. If the controller is not set to 100% power, the brightness of the street light will also be significantly reduced.
4. The installation angle of the solar street light panels is not optimal. If the installation angle of the solar panels is not adjusted properly, they cannot effectively capture sunlight, leading to inadequate energy storage in the solar batteries. Consequently, when the power is insufficient, the solar controller will initiate more energy-saving commands, which also results in poor illumination of the LED solar street lights.
Perhaps it is due to my profession; every time I see street lights, I analyze their configurations. When seeking well-configured, quality-assured municipal LED solar street lights or rural solar street lights, I recommend finding reputable manufacturers that specialize in developing, producing, and selling outdoor solar lights.
