In fact, since the maximum junction temperature has been determined, this can lower the high environmental temperature. Conversely, if the high environmental temperature does not decrease but instead increases, the light output of the LED will decline more quickly during its lifespan.

Since the thermal losses of LEDs have been considered in the calculation of the actual required luminous flux, the technical parameters provided by LED suppliers can be used directly. The design should utilize the luminous flux specified in the LED technical parameters rather than the typical values given.
