LED high pole lights are a new type of lighting device, generally referring to steel conical lamp poles over 15 meters tall and high-power combined lamp brackets. Do you know their classifications? Next, let’s explain.
They can generally be divided into lifting and non-lifting types. Lifting high pole lights usually have a main pole height of more than 18 meters, with electric lifting operations for convenience. Once the lamp tray is elevated to the working position, it can automatically detach and hang, and the steel wire rope is unloaded.
Lifting high pole lights
have both manual and electric controls for raising and lowering, allowing the lamp tray to reliably descend to a height of 2.5 meters above the ground for easy maintenance. The length of the manual remote control cable is 10 meters, enabling the operator to remotely control the raising and lowering of the lamp tray from a distance of 5 meters, ensuring the safety of the operator. Additionally, the lifting high pole lights are equipped with a spare cable. When the lamp tray is lowered, one end of this cable connects to the electrical control system, while the other end connects to the junction box on the lamp tray, providing direct power for maintenance.
The high pole lights we commonly refer to vary greatly depending on their purpose. According to different usage scenarios, the classification and naming of high pole lights vary. For example, those used at docks are called dock high pole lights, while those used in squares are named square high pole lights. Other types include port high pole lights, airport high pole lights, explosion-proof high pole lights, and stainless steel high pole lights. Generally, lamp poles exceeding 15 meters are classified as high pole lights, with heights ranging from 15 to 40 meters. The most common specifications are 15 meters, 18 meters, 20 meters, 25 meters, and 30 meters. Others are typically designed to specific heights per customer requests, which is often referred to as classifying high pole lights by height.
Lifting high pole lights have a sealing level of IP65 according to international standards to prevent dust and rain from entering, ensuring the lifespan of the bulbs. The materials used for the lights are typically high corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy panels and stainless steel.
The usage range of high pole lights includes urban squares, stations, docks, freight yards, highways, stadiums, and overpasses.
